Benefits of 30 Minutes of Daily Physical Activity
Regular physical activity and exercise is essential in weight loss, weight control, and improved health. Different kinds of exercise offer various benefits. There are 1,440 minutes in every day… make 30 of them exercise.
And, you don’t have to engage in anything "strenuous" or "fancy". Here are a few examples of physical activity:
- Walk to work or to the bus or train station.
- Skip the elevator or escalator and use the stairs.
- Walk around the office a few times a day.
- Walking around the block or up and down the stairs during lunch.
- Do your house cleaning to the tune of your favorite tunes and really move and groove.
- Exercise back and stomach muscles right at your desk by tensing and releasing them.
- Give up a sitcom a night for some additional exercise, maybe even a walk, swim or bike ride after dinner.
